Oil Pressure Sensor Acting Up?

Lately I've been getting some funky readings from the oil pressure sensor, the needle jumps around or sometimes drops to zero before bouncing back up, but there's no warning lights yet and it's starting to feel off.
Could it just be the sensor going bad or something deeper like the pump or sending unit?

@brutalheir06 Those jumping oil pressure readings are typically a sign of a bad oil pressure sending unit rather than the oil pump itself. The sensor's just sending a wonky signal.
you need to get a mechanical oil pressure gauge hooked up to confirm your actual pressure. If that's steady, replace the sender. If it's not, then you've got a bigger fish to fry
