Transmission swap

This question might sound stupid but I'm asking it anyway. will a transmission out of a 2016 Enclave work in my 2015 that has the 6T75 transmission?
Has anyone done this swap or know if they're compatible? Any info would be a huge help!

That's not a stupid question.Both years use the 6T75 so they should swap without issues.Just make sure to check the TCM the wiring and the mounts.You might need to reflash the TCM.It's a good idea to check with a shop before you go for it

It should work, but confirm the RPO code and part number to ensure full compatibility and for your own peace of mind as well. Small changes in wiring or software may require some adjustments.

Short answer: yeah, it should work, since they both use the 6T75, so mechanically they're basically identical and if the donor trans is solid, it's definitely a doable swap.

The bolts and mount points are identical, not sure about the connectors and stuff like that, but the others already explained this. What I will say is to make sure the new tranny is good for one very good reason. You'll probably go through the entire process and you wouldn't want to have to do the same again if the new one is in bad condition.
